The Premier League giants have already signed Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund during the summer transfer window. The team is now in talks with Bayern Munich about signing Benjamin Pavard, although Amrabat remains a target.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, an improved proposition for the Moroccan star could arrive after August 15th. The outlet mentions Manchester United, but nothing else is said.
During his time in Florence, top talent Amrabat has evolved into a terrific holding midfielder. His greatest season with the team was last year. He assisted them in reaching the Italian Cup and Conference League finals.
The Serie A team lost both finals, but Amrabat was outstanding with his individual performances. The 26-year-old was also outstanding for Morocco on their way to the World Cup semi-finals last year.
He is currently thinking for a greater challenge outside of the Italian club. Man United is one of the high-profile clubs interested in signing him, and a formal bid could be made in the coming days.
Amrabat would be a good signing for the Red Devils. He is skilled with the ball at his feet and does not give it up quickly. He’s also drawn attention for his work rate and ability to commit tactical fouls.
Fiorentina’s asking price is roughly £26 million. United have no reason to consider signing him at that price, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they made an official approach after Fred’s departure.
Fred recently relocated to Istanbul to join Fenerbahce. His departure from Old Trafford might pave the way for United to resume negotiations with Fiorentina about acquiring Amrabat in the coming days.
