The 23-year-old player, who has consistently proclaimed his innocence, is currently on a leave of absence but still faces two allegations in the Brazilian media.
Antony has been out of the spotlight since Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break, a match in which he was left out of the Brazil national team.
The former Ajax star has vehemently denied three allegations of abuse made by his ex-girlfriends, and he is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
Both Sao Paulo and Manchester police are looking into accusations that Antony assaulted Gabriela Cavallin on four occasions. Additionally, Ingrid Lana, a 33-year-old banker, came forward in an interview with Record TV, alleging that Antony’s aggressive actions in October 2022 could have resulted in her death.
However, a third alleged victim, Rayssa de Freitas, has reportedly dropped her case against the Manchester United player.

De Freitas, a law student, had claimed that she was attacked by Antony and another woman, Mallu Ohana, in Antony’s Land Rover after the trio had partied at a Sao Paulo nightclub. De Freitas reportedly fled the car when it stopped at a traffic light and later required hospital treatment. Both women had accused each other of sexual assault.
According to reports, De Freitas has now fully retracted her allegations to the Sao Paulo Civil Police.
The alleged incident took place in May 2022, just over three months before Antony joined Manchester United in a transfer worth £85 million to work under manager Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United reportedly conducted standard due diligence checks on Antony before his transfer and found no evidence of domestic abuse allegations or police involvement related to the player.
In response to the allegations, Manchester United released a statement confirming Antony’s absence from club football while he addresses the accusations made against him.
Antony also issued a statement, reiterating his innocence and expressing his commitment to cooperating with the police investigation to uncover the truth. He looks forward to returning to play as soon as possible.
