Done Deal – ‘We talk a lot’ – Rio Ferdinand shares plan to lure Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United

The former Manchester United defender hopes to persuade the apparently dissatisfied PSG player to join him at Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand has pleaded with Kylian Mbappe to contact him in order to persuade him to join Manchester United.

It comes following rumors that the striker wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid in January after becoming dissatisfied in the French capital despite signing a lucrative new contract earlier this year.

This season, the 23-year-old has scored 12 goals in 13 games for a club that includes Lionel Messi and Neymar. He had been linked with a move to Real Madrid until signing a new three-year contract in May.

According to recent reports, Mbappe believes a number of promises made when he signed the new contract have been breached, and his relationship with Neymar is thought to be strained following rumors that he begged PSG to sell him in the summer.

Liverpool reportedly made a bid for the striker earlier this year, but Madrid was always the favorite if the Frenchman opted to depart. Ferdinand, on the other hand, is attempting to derail any potential trade by persuading him to join Manchester United.

He messaged Mbappe, pleading with him to contact him after the pair appeared in a BT Sport Between The Lines broadcast in March. “WhatsApp me bro @KMbappe,” he tweeted, before releasing a video that began, “Kylian, we talk a lot.”

“Simply come to me. Please contact me. I’ll take care of it for you, guy. Just come to me and we’ll talk one-on-one. We chatted on Between the Lines last time, and you spoke fantastic English.

“It was fantastic. We can finish this. Return to playing football. Man, you’re one of the finest players in the world. That is exactly what we want to see.”
