Sergio Reguilon has finished and passed his medical ahead of a loan move, according to Athletic.
Reguilon has been signed as a replacement for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, who are both injured.
The loan will have a break option that allows United to end the deal in January if the left-back is no longer needed.
Manchester United relocates
According to The Athletic, Manchester United will pay Sergio Reguilon’s wages while he is on loan at the club.
However, this is not a large sum. Reguilon’s deal at Tottenham is deemed quite low by Manchester United’s standards.
Capology studies Reguilon makes £53,000 per week at Tottenham, making him one of United’s lowest-paid senior players.
The alternative was Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, who was more expensive in terms of an upfront loan fee and makes £175,000 per week, according to The Mirror.
Second Reguilon loan
Tottenham has loaned out Sergio Reguilon for the second time. He played for Atletico Madrid in the second half of the season.
Reguilon was signed by Jose Mourinho, but he has failed to impress their following managers, and he is now surplus to requirements.
United will want him registered in time for the match against Arsenal, which is why the medical has been rushed.
