Sofyan Amrabat, a Manchester United transfer target, would be allowed to leave Fiorentina in the next few days if a sufficient proposal is presented to the Italian club.
Fiorentina CEO Giuseppe Barone has given Manchester United the go-ahead to complete a move for Sofyan Amrabat before the transfer deadline next week.
The Red Devils have been pursuing Amrabat all summer as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his team. Ten Hag’s hands are currently tied in the market after spending large on deals for Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund, but the Dutchman is still keen on bringing Amrabat to Old Trafford, according to sources.
With only one week until the transfer window closes, time is running out for a deal to be made, but Barone has reiterated that Fiorentina will not block Amrabat from leaving.

Just days after conceding that the club was willing to let Amrabat depart, Barone made it plain that any serious offers for the 27-year-old would be considered by the Serie A club. Fiorentina is said to be willing to do business for roughly £21 million.
“Sofyan’s not working with the squad — but we haven’t received any bid for Amrabat this summer,” Fiorentina’s manager has since informed Sky Sports. Of course, if there are players who are dissatisfied here, we can begin examining bids for them.”
Amrabat was left out of Fiorentina’s team for the forthcoming Europa Conference League play-off first leg against Rapid Vienna, it was revealed earlier this week. The midfielder is also said to be training away from his teammates in preparation for a possible transfer.
Although Fiorentina insists no formal approach for Amrabat has been made, Manchester United’s interest in the midfielder dates back to the start of the summer transfer season. Back in July, there were claims in Italy that Amrabat had already ‘packed his bags’ for the proposed move to Old Trafford.
United are anticipated to step up their efforts to offload some players who are no longer needed in the coming days in order to raise further transfer monies.
The club has already sold Fred and a few young players, but there is interest in veteran players like Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay, who might both be moved on. Former club captain Harry Maguire’s future is unknown as he turned down a move to West Ham.
Ten Hag is also thought to be interested in signing another central defender, with OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo on United’s wishlist.
