The Red Devils are preparing for another busy summer of transfers as Ten Hag attempts to elevate his squad. While qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Carabao Cup marked significant achievements this season, Ten Hag will be hoping that this is just the beginning.
Indeed, the ambitious Dutchman is lining up a series of high-profile acquisitions that he believes will strengthen United.
And he intends to strengthen his squad with four significant acquisitions in order to cut the gap between European and Premier League champions Manchester City.
Ten Hag has apparently set up deals with Mason Mount and Kim Min-Jae to get things started. The pair are expected to cost a combined £100 million and have extensive Champions League and international experience.
The pair’s negotiations appear to be moving rapidly. And there appears to be a strong belief that both players’ signings will be completed within the next several weeks.
Ten Hag also wants to bring in a big-name striker to help the Red Devils score more goals. With the exception of 30-goal Marcus Rashford, none of United’s forwards moved up in the previous season.
And it will come as no surprise if both Anthony Martial, who has struggled with injury yet again, and Wout Weghorst, who has struggled with the step-up in quality, leave this summer.
To that aim, United may look to add two new attacking players.
