The Arsenal icon believes that his former club should be wary of the Manchester United combo ahead of this heavyweight Premier League clash.
Marcus Rashford scored a stunning goal against Arsenal last season, so he has done it before, as Bruno Fernandes is now donning the captain’s armband, with Wright warning that ‘we have to get it done early’ or the duo can ’cause us problems,’ as he told Premier League Productions (03/09/23 at 1:20 pm).
In terms of performances, both are coming off of shaky outings, but those in London have started stronger.
Furthermore, ten Hag seen his team disintegrate and suffer a costly defeat away at Tottenham recently, which further added to their dismal away performances against the elite sides.
Former England striker Owen mentioned it when discussing today’s game with Wright.
“Manchester United’s away record against the top nine teams is absolutely shocking,” Owen stated. “I believe they have one point out of 27.” They’ve already been to Tottenham this season and been thrashed, and brutally.
“On the basis of all of that, you have to like Arsenal today.” They are on an upward trajectory. Positive. Some excellent players. Manchester United, on the other hand, has had a very successful transfer window. Smart was brought. Arrived early and recruited elite players. Arsenal are my current favorites.”
“As much as we talk about where Arsenal and Manchester United are, at the end of the day, it’s still Arsenal v Manchester United,” Wright answered. They still have guys who can cause us problems. We are currently in the process of trying to figure out the formula.
“You’re going to have to get it done quickly because Rashford and Bruno.” If we don’t get it properly, they can cause us difficulties.”
The chase for the Premier League title
Arsenal was in the Premier League title fight last season, but they faltered in the final few weeks.
Man United, on the other hand, were on the outside looking in, but this is where they will hope to advance to the next level and, at the at least, challenge for the title.
They aren’t showing signs of a challenge right now, but if they win at the Emirates, everything changes.
