According to The Mail, Eintracht Frankfurt is willing to pay a lower cost for striker Randal Kolo Muani than their prior demands.
According to their most recent report, the German side is willing to accept £50-60 million as a down payment this summer. There may be further add-ons as well.
Muani was characterized as a £105 million striker in a story just three weeks ago by The Mail, based on the Bundesliga club’s excessive valuation of Muani.
However, it appears that a more rational stance has now been adopted. Muani joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer from Nantes last summer.
Kolo Muani cost
Kolo Muani is a transfer target for Manchester United. According to the MEN, the Red Devils were keeping a close eye on him.
According to The Athletic, United director John Murtough has expressed interest in Eintracht Frankfurt.
Manchester United’s interest in Muani was first revealed by the French newspaper L’Equipe in early January.
The attacker went on to have a successful season, scoring 23 goals and giving 10 assists for Eintracht Frankfurt.
He also scored for France against Morocco in the World Cup semi-finals.
Another recent ESPN article stated that Frankfurt will seek roughly £80 million for Muani.
This is the first report to suggest he could be available for a respectable transfer fee this summer, with £50-60 million being more indicative of his talent, value, and potential.
The 24-year-old has only had one top-tier season under his belt, and anything more than £60 million would be excessive. You may even argue that it is excessive.
United must manage the summer budget with caution. A deal for Mason Mount appears to be on the horizon, while Rasmus Hojlund is another striker option and Harry Kane is the dream option.
There is also a desire to bring in a great goalkeeper, with David de Gea needing to be replaced.
