Maguire and Antony In , Martinez Out – How Manchester United should line up vs FC Sheriff in Europa League fixture

On Thursday, Manchester United will face FC Sheriff in the Europa League, and our MEN writers have chosen their starting lineups.

Manchester United will meet FC Sheriff in the Europa League on Thursday night in Moldova.

United started their Europa League campaign with a 3-0 loss to Real Sociedad at Old Trafford last week, and Ten Hag’s side will be anxious to bounce back against FC Sheriff, who defeated Omonia 3-0 in their first group round match.

The Reds’ match against Crystal Palace was postponed on Sunday, so the players will be fresh for this game, despite the absence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Donny van de Beek, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial from the traveling group.

Following the insensitive decision to postpone consecutive Premier League fixtures, United may as well begin with as strong a lineup as feasible.

United has not lost a game with Raphael Varane starting this season, and he has only conceded two goals in 405 minutes. He and Lisandro Martinez should be brought back.

Because Casemiro and Fred were ineffective last week, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes are deserving of recalls this week. Christian Eriksen, United’s player of the month, must remain in the starting lineup.

Aside from his debut goal, Antony has yet to light up the game in a United shirt, but he does need to build rapport with teammates. Despite his performance last week, Jadon Sancho remains the natural left flank and Cristiano Ronaldo is the clear striker.
