Ten Hag ‘likes Ajax star the most’ and Prem midfielder is ‘chosen one’ as Man Utd plan £70m spend

Man United is apparently intending to spend £70 million on new players in January, with Erik ten Hag targeting two specific individuals.

Ten Hag was expected to spend roughly £215 million on new recruits during the summer transfer window.

Signing Antony, Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, and Tyrell Malacia cost the club a lot of money. Christian Eriksen also arrived on loan from Brentford.

The Red Devils have improved in recent games, with their 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad the sole setback in a promising few weeks.

Man United is already planning for January, with Ten Hag looking to bolster his team once more.

It was claimed earlier this week that the Dutchman will be allocated £70 million to spend on new players during the winter transfer window. If Cristiano Ronaldo leaves, his budget is expected to rise to more than £100 million.

Fichajes has now revealed the ‘three transactions sought by Ten Hag from Manchester United in January.’

One of them is a new right-back. Diogo Dalot has been impressive for Manchester United recently, but Ten Hag is not a fan of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In the summer, the Englishman was connected with Crystal Palace and West Ham, but he was not allowed to depart since United was unable to find a successor.

They were linked with Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest, who ended up on loan with AC Milan. The ex-Ajax player has now stated that he would be willing to stay in Serie A in the long term:

“I’ll simply give it my all, my best, and at the end of the season – of course, I’m on loan – we’ll see if the club wants me or not,” Dest remarked.

“Right now, all I can do is give it my all and demonstrate what I’ve got.” That is all.”

“I am delighted to be here. [Director Stefano] Pioli’s game is very good; he can help me develop my game to its full potential. This season may provide me with an opportunity to contribute to the squad by honing both my offensive and defensive skills.

“Ajax and Barcelona both play a possession-based game.” Milan plays a faster game in order to get to the goal as quickly as feasible. To make a comparison, I’d rather wait until the end of this season.”

Man United ‘need a more creative midfielder,’ according to Fichajes, and Youri Tielemans is their ‘preferred one.’

Tielemans’ continued presence at Leicester is somewhat surprising given that he was available for £25-30 million in the summer, with his contract set to expire next year.

Arsenal were extensively associated with him, but he now appears ready to leave Leicester City either in January for a reduced fee or for free in the summer.

According to the source, Ten Hag is also interested in Ajax forward Brian Brobbey. The manager of Manchester United is said to ‘like him the most.’

They claim that if Ronaldo leaves, a forward will be needed to ‘rotate with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.’
