After missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, the Reds are looking at every available alternative, and rumours yesterday stated that Manchester United target Amrabat is now a viable option.
Last night, Romano posted the latest on his YouTube channel.
Liverpool target Sofyan Amrabat has already said ‘yes’ to Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
For more than two months, Manchester United has been linked with a deal for Sofyan Amrabat.
Erik ten Hag’s team are looking for a new deep-lying midfielder, and the Fiorentina star checks a lot of boxes.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have joined the battle to sign Amrabat, and Romano revealed on his YouTube channel that they inquired about him last night.
The bad news for Liverpool is that Amrabat has reportedly already’said yes’ to Manchester United.
“Liverpool know how much it takes to sign Sofyan Amrabat – on the club side and on the player side,” Romano added after claiming Liverpool called to inquire about Amrabat.
“It’s now on Liverpool.” They did not make a bid to Fiorentina, nor did they make a bid to the player. So it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will pursue Amrabat or another player.
“At the moment, Amrabat remains in his position – he agreed to join Man United at the end of June, but it’s been nearly two months of waiting, waiting, waiting.” So it’s all on Manchester United now. Amrabat is waiting for Manchester United, but they must now submit a bid.”
