According to The Sun, West Ham United have reopened talks with Premier League rivals Manchester United about Harry Maguire.
West Ham United is still attempting to recruit Manchester United’s Harry Maguire.
The Hammers are willing to pay Maguire £120,000 per week and have offered him a four-year contract.
And, despite earning £190,000 a week at Manchester United, the defender is eager to come to London Stadium.
West Ham have already agreed to a £30 million agreement with Manchester United, but Maguire wants more than the £6 million payout that the Red Devils have promised him.
West Ham have reopened discussions with Manchester United about Maguire, according to The Sun, and are “trying to find a way to pay a little more” to help the Red Devils pay off the England international.
We feel West Ham United should pursue Manchester United center defender Harry Maguire further.
The England international defender has made it obvious that he wants to join West Ham.
The problem is that he is dissatisfied with the severance package offered by Manchester United.
And it’s easy to see why.
Maguire, after all, would be taking a pay cut to join the Hammers.
West Ham have nothing to lose if they continue to press for a deal in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Strange things happen on and around the day of the deadline.
