James Ward-Prowse is likely to complete his move to West Ham United today after passing a medical.
The England midfielder is expected to complete a £30 million move to West Ham, where he hopes to make an immediate comeback to the Premier League.
The midfielder has been chased by a number of clubs this summer, but it appears that West Ham have won the bidding war.
And, reporting on Sky Sports, Hayley McQueen has verified that Ward-Prowse is currently undergoing a medical with the Hammers.
“All right, now for the breaking news. We know James Ward-Prowse is getting a physical at West Ham United before joining them for £30 million from Southampton. We were only waiting for confirmation that he was having his medical, which is now taking place. “We’ll let you know as soon as we get confirmation of a done deal,” McQueen added.
Hammers on the move
It was critical that David Moyes be backed to replace Declan Rice, and it appears that he will be.
The acquisition of Edson Alvarez was significant, as was the pursuit for Harry Maguire.
Signing Ward-Prowse is also a wise business decision. He’ll be a key player for the Hammers as a seasoned Premier League player who understands how to score goals.
In today’s football, £30 million is a relative bargain. If he performs as well as he did with Southampton, Hammers fans will quickly warm to their new midfielder.
