New Terms Agreed – Manchester United agree personal terms with Dutchman ahead of potential transfer

Manchester United and PSV forward Cody Gakpo have agreed on personal terms.

Erik ten Hag has already gone to his native nation to attract new signings this summer as he looks to rebuild his squad following such a poor season last year.

Manchester United’s early signings were Lisandro Martinez from Ajax and Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord, both from the Eredivisie, where Ten Hag previously managed. United have now negotiated personal terms with Gakpo’s representatives, according to Eindhovens Dagblad, ahead of a possible summer move.

Manchester United have been connected with a number of players this summer, so it will be intriguing to see whether they can sign Gakpo.

After missing out on Champions League qualification last season, United may find it harder to attract quality players this summer.

However, the purchase of Casemiro from Real Madrid may assist United to persuade players to move to Old Trafford. Bringing in a player of Casemiro’s caliber can demonstrate to prospective new recruits that they mean business, especially since Casemiro has just won the La Liga and Champions League with Real Madrid.
