The Reds defeated Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley Stadium in February, collecting our first trophy since 2017 and the first of the Dutchman’s tenure.
Our defense, which will now compete on four fronts this season, will begin in the third round, with 32 clubs ready to compete.
With United reaching at least the semi-finals in three of the last four seasons, it’s a record we’ll be looking to extend this season.
Scroll down to get all the details you need for the forthcoming draw next week…
WHEN DOES THE DRAW TAKE PLACE?
Although a date for the third-round draw has yet to be confirmed, most expect it to take place around midweek, most likely on Wednesday night, following the conclusion of next week’s ties on August 29 and 30.
This season, Sky Sports has retained the rights to the coverage, so we can expect it to be shown through the platform’s official channels.
WHO IS STILL PARTICIPATING IN THE COMPETITION?
Chelsea and Tottenham entered the league at this stage because to their lack of European involvement, as the tournament is currently separated into north and south sections to help prevent midweek travel.
In two all-London clashes, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will face AFC Wimbledon, while Fulham will host Spurs.
