Even though his academy season was completed, the 19-year-old goalkeeper took part in Manchester United’s FA Cup final training session.
The 6ft 4′′ stopper was Manchester United’s FA Youth Cup goalkeeper in 2022, playing in the same XI as Alejandro Garnacho.
Erik ten Hag is certainly keeping an eye on him, as he brought him in for group training on Tuesday as the countdown to Saturday’s Wembley battle begins.
Radek Vitek has been added to the mix.
This season, Radek Vitek has already made the Manchester United first-team bench.
Even though Tom Heaton has returned to training following an injury, Vitek was included in this week’s session.
Manchester United agreed to sign Vitek from Czech club Sigmy Olomouc in April 2020.
According to The Athletic, his goalkeeping style has garnered similarities to Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn.
His presence is noteworthy in light of Erik ten Hag’s statements about number one goalkeeper David de Gea, as reported by The Times, in which he expresses a desire for competition for the Spaniard.
While bringing in a new goalkeeper as competition is extremely likely, Ten Hag might also turn to youth and fast-track Vitek as his deputy if he likes what he sees.
It is up to the imposing kid to make an impact, with the potential of a loan next season.
At the very least, it appears that Ten Hag is weighing all of his alternatives and making a decision.
