Manchester United is currently in talks with key defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka regarding a new contract, but according to Fabrizio Romano, discussions have yet to yield a breakthrough. These negotiations have been on the club’s agenda since September.
Wan-Bissaka’s recent form has seen significant improvement, and he has flourished under the management of Erik ten Hag. It is only natural that the club wants to secure his future with a new long-term deal. However, as Romano suggests, these contract talks can be intricate, and it may take some time before a more definitive update is available.
In his latest column, Romano states, “A new deal is being considered for Aaron Wan-Bissaka since September. Manchester United is happy with Wan-Bissaka, but there’s still no breakthrough at this stage, it will take some time.”
He also notes, “There’s nothing else imminent in terms of contract extensions; Manchester United has already successfully extended contracts with players like Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot.”
