“A great fit” – Pundit predicts if Jude Bellingham will seal transfer to Liverpool or Man United
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is more likely to join Liverpool than Manchester United.
The expert believes Bellingham is the ideal match for Jurgen Klopp’s team, praising how impressive the young England international has been in his relatively short career.
Bellingham originally came to prominence at Birmingham City, where he played regularly in the Championship when he was only 16 years old.
The wunderkind ended up coming to Dortmund at an early age and is now continuing to amaze at the top level, demonstrating his class in the Champions League as well as with the Three Lions at the international level.
Could Liverpool be the next stop for Bellingham? Robinson appears to believe it is a likely next step for the 19-year-old.
Robinson told Football Insider, “He just fits in at Liverpool.”
“The way he plays and the system Klopp employs are a perfect match.”
“Bellingham is a phenomenal footballer.” He still has many productive years ahead of him. He already has a fantastic reputation. His on-field charisma is something extraordinary. I enjoy seeing him.
“It is surprising that he has accomplished so much at such a young age.” I believe he has been really astute in managing his job and career path.
“It’s just a matter of time before he comes back to England.” I believe he will join Liverpool because of the way they play. It works for him.”
Manchester United fans will no likely hope that if Bellingham returns to English football, their club will have a chance to recruit him since they could use someone to build their midfield around for years to come, something they were never able to accomplish with Paul Pogba.
Liverpool, on the other hand, appears to be in need of long-term replacements for the likes of Jordan Henderson, and they arguably never completely replaced Georginio Wijnaldum when he left last summer.
