Exclusive: Man United submitting £25m take-it-or-leave-it bid Today for 100m p/w Antony Pair

Sources: Manchester United has offered £25 million. Today is Cody Gakpo’s take-it-or-leave-it bid.
According to Football Insider, Manchester United will make a £25 million take-it-or-leave-it bid for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Cody Gakpo on Thursday (25 August).

The Premier League heavyweights have prepared an offer for Gapko, 23, and are also interested in Ajax sensation Antony.

United’s offer for the PSV star is thought to have no influence on their efforts to sign Antony.

Erik ten Hag has approved a deal for Gakpo, who is represented by the same agency, SEG, as United’s manager.

Gakpo, who is under contract with PSV until 2026, has three goals and four assists in seven games this season.

He was voted Dutch Footballer of the Year in 2021-22 after scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in 47 appearances for PSV, helping them win the KNVB Cup.

United’s pursuit of Gakpo may have been bolstered by PSV’s elimination from the Champions League play-offs last night at the hands of Rangers (24 August).

The seven-time Dutch international would be the Red Devils’ third acquisition from Ten Hag’s country this summer, following Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia from Ajax and Feyenoord, respectively.

Ajax academy item Christian Eriksen has also signed a six-month contract extension with Brentford for 2021-22.

Tahith Chong and Donny van de Beek were already on the team’s books before to the current transfer window.
